About me

Ciao!
My name is Katiuska.
I know you are wondering where my name is from or why I have a Russian name. The people I meet always ask me one question or the other. I understand, it’s not a common name. Especially not in western countries. Then they ask me where I am from and I open a whole new conversation.
I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, but I was raised in Rome, Italy. Today, I am based in London, United Kingdom, where I moved in 2014.
My mum chose my name and when I asked her why, she simply said she liked it. I think the name she gave me partly influenced my future. I was destined to have a multicultural life.
My language journey started at a very young age in a bilingual family.
I have always been fascinated by languages and that is why I decided to study both languages and translation.
Words are powerful and it is vital to be able to communicate with as many people as possible across the world.
You can read more about me on the blog.
