No, there is no need to send any originals. I only need a scanned copy or clear picture sent by email to receive a free, no-obligation quote.
Any information you can share will help me provide you a detailed quote. You could include the following:
1. What document is it and where was it issued?
2. From which language to which language does it need to be translated?
3. Is there a specific date you need the translation by?
4. Where do you need to submit the translation? (e.g. Consulate, University, Employer)

I usually aim at delivering certified translations consisting of 1-6 pages within 24/72 hours. Longer project may take more time to be completed. However, it’s all relative and it depends on volume. I will send you an electronic copy of your certified translations first and then I will post you a hard copy.
Each case is different. The price depends on several factors such as language combinations, number of words, field of expertise and level of difficulty. Usually, certified translations of birth, marriage, police certificates are charged per page and other documents are charged per source word. Additional fees may be charged if the translation is urgent and requires working during the weekends or evenings. There is a minimum for translation work under 250 words. The best thing to do is get in touch to find out how I can help you and receive a free, no-obligation quote. You can also read on the blog how translation work is priced.
Most of the times it doesn’t. You can send me a scanned copy or clear picture while your document is at the Legalisation Office. By doing this, legalisation and translation would probably be ready at the same time.
If you wish to have the apostille translated, please send me a scanned copy or picture when your document has returned from the Legalisation Office.
As mentioned in my Terms of service, I accept payment by bank transfer. You will receive all the necessary details with your quote and invoice (sent upon delivery of the project). Small amounts are paid upfront. Instalments may be arranged for large projects.
I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists and an Associate Member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting; my translations are widely accepted by the UK authorities, the Italian Consulate and, in most cases, also in Italy and other countries. However, I would recommend checking with the end-user to avoid disappointment.
Sworn translations do not exist in the United Kingdom. However, a Notary Public or Solicitor can certify the translator’s signature and legalise the whole bundle. If this is your case, let me know so that I can help you obtain legalisation on the translation. You can read this blog post for more information.
